Museum of Barbara and Stanisław Ptak

About the exhibition

Since 21 November 2011, at the Theatre and Film Studio of the Museum of Katowice History, a permanent exhibition entitled ”Barbara and Stanisław Ptak Museum” has been opened to the viewers. The exhibition, located in the former flat of this unique couple, presents both their artistic and private life. Designs by the renowned film and theatre costume designer Barbara Ptak are presented, together with the costumes and photographic documentation of the performances. Apart from these, the creative journey of Stanisław Ptak is shown, who was an excellent actor and singer, a man of great talent, big heart and charisma. The exhibition is complemented by numerous photographs and mementos of their private and family life, the distinctions and prizes they were awarded and many other curiosities collected by this couple of eminent artists over the years.
